We are Parth and Somya — a couple bound not just by love, but by a shared passion for food that carries the soul of our roots.

Parth hails from North India, with deep ties to Delhi, and Punjab, while Somya brings with her the rich culinary heritage of Bihar. From an early age, both of us found ourselves drawn to the kitchen — experimenting, tasting, and recreating dishes that reminded us of home. What began as playful curiosity soon became a lifelong devotion to cooking.

Among our friends and family, food was always our love language. Late-night dinners, spontaneous feasts, or carefully prepared spreads — our kitchen became the gathering place where laughter flowed, and memories were made. People often told us our food was different — it had warmth, depth, and a way of making even the heaviest hearts feel lighter.

One evening, while experimenting with age-old recipes, spice blends passed down from generations, and our own little twists, we stumbled upon what we like to call “the code” — the perfect balance of aroma, flavor, and soul that makes our biryani unlike any other. That moment was the spark that lit Biryani By Pound.
